"Never deprive someone of hope - it may be all they have."

Art is a powerful way to communicate. For thousands of years, it has influenced people, inspiring the imagination, telling stories, recording history and stirring emotions. In the traditional understanding of art making the activity is usually directed towards a goal — the end product.

However, is this only intention of art?

At some point in life, many people find themselves overwhelmed by the intensity of their problems and emotions which are difficult to face by themselves. People feel the need to express their feelings, not just for enjoyment, but to identify and deal with problems.

The art a person makes reflects his or her conflicts and concerns. In the therapeutic setting the person and the process is of primary importance and the finished product of secondary consideration.

Can art be useful in seeing and solving problems ?
